On Monday, December 10th from 3:00-5:00PM, BHT will be a hosting a Naloxone training as a part of our provider education efforts. The training will be put on by the WSU School of Pharmacy and will address:
The opioid epidemic and its effects nationally as well as locally
Explanation of the mechanism of action of naloxone and how that aids in opioid reversal
Describe signs and symptoms of possible opioid overdose situations when naloxone may be warranted
Apply the steps for responding to an overdose situation
Describe the proper use and administration of the different available forms of naloxone
