Open Enrollment season is upon us! New Healthplanfinder customers can begin shopping for a 2022 Qualified Health Plan (QHP) and Qualified Dental Plan (QDP) on November 1, 2021. For their coverage to start January 1, 2022, customers must select a plan by December 15, 2021, and make their first month’s payment within 30 days of enrolling. Open Enrollment ends on January 15, 2022.
Spokane County will have 7 health insurance carriers and 3 dental insurance carriers to choose from, all with varying coverage options to meet customers’ needs during 2022.

November 1, 2021: Open Enrollment Starts – New customers can start shopping and enrolling in Qualified Health Plans (QHPs) for coverage beginning January 1, 2022.

November 16, 2021: Existing Customers Start Reporting Changes – Customers enrolled in a 2021 QHP can start reporting changes that will take effect on January 1, 2022. This prevents any changes to their existing 2021 coverage.

December 15, 2021: Last Day to Enroll for January 1 Start Date – New and existing customers should choose a plan by December 15 for coverage starting January 1, 2022.

January 15, 2022: Open Enrollment Ends – Customers who enroll by January 15 will have a February 1, 2022 start date.
