Naloxone Training

On Monday, December 10th from 3:00-5:00PM, BHT will be a hosting a Naloxone training as a part of our provider education efforts.  The training will be put on by the WSU School of Pharmacy and will address:

 

  • The opioid epidemic and its effects nationally as well as locally

  •  Explanation of the mechanism of action of naloxone and how that aids in opioid reversal

  •  Describe signs and symptoms of possible opioid overdose situations when naloxone may be warranted

  •  Apply the steps for responding to an overdose situation

  •  Describe the proper use and administration of the different available forms of naloxone
