Free Training Opportunity - Certified Peer Counseling

Better Health Together is partnering with Passages to offer a free 40-hour in-person Certified Peer Counselor training specifically for Community Partners in Eastern Washington.

  • When: November 13-17

  • Where: In person, Spokane

Certification Requirements

To get Certified by the HCA, candidates must:

  • have lived experience with mental health or substance use services OR be a parent or legal guardian of a child (under the age of 18) with lived experience with mental health or substance use services

  • be able to read and write

  • be over 18 years of age

Register:

Candidates from Eastern Washington interested in attending this class can apply for this training by following these instructions: 

  1. Get your application to the Health Care Authority (HCA) ASAP - Complete their online prerequisites (9 online modules). Washington state requires everyone to work through this process with the HCA. Click here to complete the HCA’s application.

  2. Contact Ashley James at Passages - Email ajames@passagesfs.org or call (509) 992-4034 - Indicate you want to register for the November CPC class. Ashley checks the HCA-approved list and can get you registered for the training.
