HIE Assessment Results

In 2019, BHT contracted with Xpio to do an HIE assessment for our region. The report shares detailed findings for data and technology, process, and knowledge. 

Xpio provided a set of key takeaways and six potential focus areas with corresponding opportunities for BHT’s consideration: 

1. BHT engagement models

2. Partner data sharing

3. State-wide data needs

4. SDoH needs

5. Regional impact assessment

6. Technical assistance

Xpio also provided this set of recommendations: 

1. Follow HCA and OHP regarding HIE

2. Align opportunities (funding, synergies, CIE)

3. Prioritize, select, relate, and sequence opportunities

4. Develop details for each identified opportunity

5. Commission 2-4 “just do it” opportunities
