January Technical Council Activity Summary

Provider Champions Council - 1/13

The Provider Champions Council is meeting quarterly in 2020. At their January meeting, they reviewed and gave feedback on menus of Pay-for-Achievement measures for our contracts with clinical and SDOH partners. There was support for new measures, and some great feedback to guide final revisions. They also shared ideas for additional tools for SDOH partners and opportunities for shared learning across SDOH and clinical.

Tribal Partners Leadership Council - 1/16

The Tribal Partners Leadership Council is planning to develop a curriculum on tribal history, tribal sovereignty, and tribal health systems to be distributed across sectors. BHT’s equity assessment revealed that only 11% of people who took the assessment had attended a training related to tribal sovereignty and local Native American history. This training will be offered this November as part of our Equity Series of trainings.

Community Voices Council - 1/21

The council reviewed and gave feedback on the regional findings from the Equity Assessment. They also discussed the next steps for upcoming equity projects and trainings, which includes the “Why Race Matters” training and the Pay-for-Equity menu for partners. Additionally, the group reviewed and gave feedback on the Rural Collaborative Health Equity Projects in Stevens, Ferry, Pend Oreille, Lincoln, and Adams County. Lastly, the council looked at information on the Mental First Aid training being offered this year. A few of the council members have expressed interest and plan to sign up!
